White Bear Lake Newborn Photography | Aviana – 9 days new

 

Hello Baby lovers, today I have the pleasure of introducing you to Miss Aviana. She and her mom came to visit me for her White Bear Lake Newborn session when she was 9 days new.

She is one-quarter Korean and you can see it in her lovely skin tone. Isn’t she just beautiful, and I love her puckered lips

As you can see, Aviana and I had a great session together. Her mom Amber, remembered my tips for a newborn session and had baby wear a loose diaper and had made sure she had eaten before the session. A ride in the car didn’t hurt either. Her preparation efforts allowed us to have an especially awesome session together. I even got a few smiles!

Aviana slept most of the way through the 3 hour session. And when she wasn’t sleeping, she was relaxed and happy to nurse and fall right back to sleep. She couldn’t have been any better.

“The session was great, very relaxed,” says Amber. She’s got an interesting birth story because she had little Aviana at home, but didn’t plan it that way. “We have a golden doodle named Cooper and he was there for her birth. As soon as she was born, he started cleaning her and still, when she cries, he will lick her feet – or at least try to.” How cute is that?!  Such a protective big puppy-brother.

 

Because the session went so well, I asked Amber if she would share one helpful piece of advice with other mothers planning a newborn session. Her biggest piece of advice is: “Listen to the photographer’s advice. Make sure baby has a full tummy to keep them happy and sleepy.”

She didn’t care to be wrapped up too long though, stretching is the way to go. 🙂 We tried a hat that mom had brought, but little Avi was none too thrilled about that. I think it was the one time her whole session that she was upset.
