Simply Natural White Bear Lake Newborn Portraits | Jeyca Raelynn 11 days
Beautiful little Jeyca and her mom came to see me when she was just 11 days new. Her mom remembered that newborn sessions are best when baby is 5-12 days old. They (usually) sleep longer and are much more flexible during that time. Little Jeyca has got the biggest brown eyes and is very content. Since she was really not in the mood to be sleeping right away, so we got the awake pictures out of the way first. She made great eye contact.

I just love those chubby cheeks! I can see why grandmas always want to pinch them.

Once she decided to fall asleep, we moved quickly (well as quickly as you can work with a sleeping newborn!) and got several of the sleepy poses.

We even snuck in a cute teddy bear hat. 🙂

Some of my favorite ones are the itty bitty baby details. I love mouth bubbles and the way their skin looks.
**Update**
Shortly before turning 2 months old, Jeyca’s family had the unthinkable happen. Baby girl stopped breathing while she was asleep. She was placed on a ventilator at the hospital, but due to the length of time that her body was deprived of oxygen, she suffered severe brain damage. She spent several days in the hospital with mom by her side. By that time the outlook was not at all promising and her mom had to make the hardest decision, and let her baby go. While Mom is doing the best she can in this terrible time, she could also use some help with the medical bills that are now coming in. If you would like to make a contribution to Jeyca’s family, an account for them has been set up at www.gofundme.com/8yc5ek, or you may contact Holli to arrange a donation. Thank You!
